Syphillis transmission ?

Hi all. One of my best male friends is homosexual and we typically greet one another with a closed mouth kiss on the lips. At a party last night after he'd kissed me twice he told me he was concerned he may have contracted syphillis from having oral to a male friend of his. Could two closed mouth kisses to me transit syphillis if he did in fact contract if?

Thanks in advance, i get worried because I kiss my fiancé and my son
