Time Line

GraceHHP and t1234,

I spoke to you both sometime ago and I have another question. As I indicated earlier I was given protected oral sex (used condom). I want to know what is the timeline beyond which I can be confiident that I dont have HSV 1 from that encounter. I have read on the internet that if one has contracted the virus, it usually cpomes about in 2- 20 days. But are there males who develop sysmptoms after this and if so is there a upper limit?
I would appreciate your responses.

Guys,

I know you might laugh but when I tell you this but just suppose, the woman who gave me oral sex lips touch the unprotected area ( I know I am being paranoid). Is there a time beyod which I can consider myself out of the woods? Already I have passed 3 weeks , next tuesday will make 4 weeks. Please help me to resolve this.

Yeah, you're being paranoid. Move on. You should not be engaging in any sexual activity if you are this uptight afterwards. To me, that's the bigger issue. Probably best to remain asexual until you resolve your anxiety. Which you've got in spades.

If you had protected oral sex, meaning you used a condom, there is no risk. Therefore, you wouldn't need a "time line."
