Thanks AJ for your responses. I was Rx Metronidazole (4 tablets). I'm not sure what he was given and yes at this point I am going with my gut...
I'm not surprised that his test was negative, because as I said, trich is usually very hard to find in men. If they find it, its usually unexpected.
What are you all being treated with?
10 years is a long time to have this and not know it. In theory, its possible, but its not very likely.
You'll probably just have to go with your gut on this one. To me, his story isn't making much sense.
Aj
I have been married since 1998 and I contacted the nurse today to find out the lab results for Chlamydia and Gonnorhea. The results were negative. I also requested my spouse to go his doctor to be tested and he stated that his trich results were negative. He stated that he informed the doctor that I had been diagnosed with it and an Rx was prescribed. I still can't understand how he didnt test positive. As mentioned previously, his original story didn't pull together for me. I have also requested that he show me proof that he was seen by a doctor after my diagnoses along with the medical evaluation report. I do not want to be statistic for any STD when I know or should I say believed that I was safe in a monogomous relationship.
How long have you been married?
It is VERY hard to find trich in men. Its not easily seen on any tests, so a trich diagnosis for a man is usually based on his female partner's results.
Gallstones, if I'm not mistaken, aren't passed through the urethra, but are absorbed by the body. That's something you can ask in the gastroenterology forum we have here. I'd also ask about levaquin as a treatment for that - I'm thinking that you don't get antibiotics for that. Kidney stones are passed through the urethra - is it possible he got it mixed up?
I usually don't get into the relationship aspect of things, but his story, as you tell it, doesn't make much sense.
