Hello,
My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past 2 years. After a tubal pregnancy last year that resulted in the removal of my right fallopian tube, we decided to see a specialist. At the request of the doctor, we have both done various tests to measure our fertility, etc. My husband recently tested positive for Ureaplasma Urealyticum, and I tested negative.
Question:
(1) Is it possible that my husband can have this disease without ever passing it to me?
(2) Is it possible to test negative, but actually be positive?
(3) Is there a way to know when he contracted this disease?
(4) How long does this disease take to show-up in a previously non-infected person?
(5) Could this be a sign of cheating - or are there ways to contract this disease without sexual contact?
Thanks!
