Window Period! Really worried!

Hi doctors,

I was drunk and i had unprotected anal sex with a girl i just met during carnaval in Brazil, ok, i'm dumb.

After 30 days i had a 4th gen test - Non Reactive

After 6 weeks i had another 4th gen test - Non Reactive

After 2 months (63 days) i had this test (4th gen too) on a private laboratory:

ARCHITECT HIV Ag/Ab Combo assay
Non-reactive - C/O value - 0.16
Cut-off point - 1.00

I didn't have any exposure since.

BUT, after 10 days of the intercourse i experienced symptoms like extreme nausea, mild fever, severe muscle pain, diffuse pain on the joints, gastrointestinal gas and pain, recurrent aphtous ulcers, shortness of breath, headache and some days of night sweats. And weeks after i had a lot of rash, red dots all over the trunk that still here on my chest and upper back. I'm feeling a lot of pain in the ear too.

Can those test, all 4th gens, be false-negatives? All were made on reliable laboratories here.
I suffer from extreme anxiety too, and i shouldn't exposed myself to this.

Thanks for the attention, and i admire a lot your work on this site.

Best regards from Rio.
Tchau!

You had negative results on all exams and therefore, you are HIV negative. You have nothing to worry about and symptoms do not prove anything when it comes to HIV. Test results trump over symptoms all the time. Anxiety also brings on symptoms that you think you have and messes with your mind. If you have any more questions about HIV, please post in the HIV community for further answers.
