Worries over Syphilis test results

Hi medhelp,

106 days after condom-protected vaginal/oral and some nipple-licking exposure with a CSW in Brazil I had a full STD panel done. Everything came back negative (HIV/HepB/C/Syphilis/Chla/Gono/Myco). One question thought.

1 week after exposure I took 1g Azithromycin just to be safe incase of chlamydia etc. But now my horrors are for syphilis. Some weeks after the exposure I developed a big mouth ulcer inside of my lip (close to the teeth) and some weeks after that, small red dots (1-2mm) over my torso. My health over these couple of weeks have not been great either, with small fever, nausea, and various depression/anxiety symptoms.

Syphilips result came back negative after 110 days, but could the test-results be false-negative since I took the 1g of azithromycin?

Thanks in advance.

Vance,

I am confident I did not have a real risk, but the risk is always there, even if its close to zero.

But please answer my last question. Can Azithromycin 1g delay the result of a conclusive result?

Your result is conclusive and you had no real risk for syphilis.
