No, an antibiotic wouldn't cause another infection.

Follow up with your doc since you don't seem to be getting better.  Does the doc know about the stds, etc?  If he doesn't, you should tell him.  I can't see how it would affect anything, but he should know just in case.

I am currently on an antibiotic from the ear nose and throat Dr.  to treat this...it just doesn't seem to be going away.   I am also taking Musinex to make sure all of the mucus which could keep the bacteria in my system gets out.  I am getting very depressed that the cause of this can't be found and taken care of...UGH.   Could the infection come from the antibiotics I took to treat the STD's?  I have never had any medical problems prior to having the STD from my husband, now it seems I can't get back to normal.  When I noticed another lady post about the same symptoms it gave me some bits of hope that I am not imagining this!  Thanks so much for your help.

What STD were you treated for and with what meds ? This may be an ear, nose and throat infection not related to a STD. I recommend you see your Doctor for exam. Take care.
