hopefully overworrying

Ok so after masturbating I noticed fleshy bumps at the base of my penis. They are only visible when my penis is erect or the skin is taught. It looks as though each one has a hair coming through and they resemble the raised follicles on my scrotum. Not painful, tender, etc and as stated before as soon as it is not erect the are not visible anymore. My girlfriend said she has been tested for everything and that it was all negative, and she is the only person I have had sex with. I was just afraid I could have gotten some kind of infection by masturbating or something (I work with gonorrhea at a lab). Anyways, I hope I am worrying for nothing. Thanks

You can have hair follicles where it doesn't seem like there is hair.  They might also be little glands, called Fordyce spots.

If your gf is STD negative, and she's the only one that you've had sex with, then how could this be an std?

If you are so concerned, you should get checked.

ok so the bumps definitly seem to be identical to raised hair follicles on other areas of my genitals. It just worried me because i had never noticed them on the shaft of my penis. Some of them i cant seem to find a hair coming from them but most of them do. Is that normal? Just for peace of mind purposes, what are the chances of an std or anything serious? - again absolutely no pain or discomfort

You won't get an std from working in a lab, and gonorrhea wouldn't produce bumps like this.

Perhaps you have some mild folliculitis, but it wouldn't hurt to get it checked.
