possible test results messed up

I had a baby the end of October and at the beginning of October they did all the normal work up to see if you have any std's and my results were clean.  I go the beginning of Jan 2013 and have a pap done only to find out I have gonorrhea.  I demanded a retest but the doctors office would not do so and told me I was stupid to delay treatment. I would have to come back down the next day if I wanted to get retested since there were  no doctors in the office even though one came in and talked to me.  My husband went on the 11th to get tested and came back negative, we both have been treated.  Neither 1 of us have been unfaithful to each other in the 5 years we have been married. I have to have c sections with my children and was not able to have sex for 8 weeks and he came up negative. Is there a possibility that when the doctor's office did a pap smear on me that the tool that they use was on me was dirty  and that's how my results came back with gonorrhea.

yes, some pap tests do also test for gonorrhea, chlamydia, trich, bv and yeast.

did you retest with urine testing before getting treated for gonorrhea?

I have been rechecked from another Dr and everything came back clean.  According to them it is common to get checked that way as well as urine and blood samples.   They said it is not unheard of to mess up test results but it would be a loosing battle to fight it in court if I chose to go that way.

You were right to demand the retest and should have done one. I have never heard of gonorrhea being tested with a pap. With your husband negative test but you had a false positive.
