std..smell

I don't know if this is appropiate to ask here but i am to embarressed to ask my doctor. I am a female 20 years of age and when i ejaculate or theres some foreplay and fluids are released there is a very bad fishy smell. I've had a pap done recently and nothing showed up. I am wondering if this could be caused by an std or if it is not an std is there any way to prevent the smell. Its a very embarressing situation.

too bad doctors brush off non severe issues like that.
I cannot tell whether you may have gotten your smell from your prev bf or from your yeast infection.  hopefully you got treatment for it. and yeast can definitely reoccur.  but an STI can also trigger a yeast infection and since you got your smell b4 your yeast then perhaps you did get some kind of infection from your prev bf.  its also possible that you have had yeast for some time but did not detect it until your pap smear. its good to see your doc and get it check out, that way you wont be embarrassed in your future. better to face your dr about it then carry your smell with your future partners right?

I have only been with 2 guys and they were long term relationships, so yes i had unprotected sex with both of them. But with my last boyfriend i noticed he had a really bad smell to him, i could smell him sometimes in another room. I have not had unprotected sex for the last month and a half, but i noticed this smell about 6 months ago. Could this smell possibly be from a yeast infection? Because on my last pap i was diagnosed with a minor one...Or do you think it more then likely i got it from my last boyfriend. I did make him go to the doctor about the smell he had but the doctor i guess didn't even look at him and said it was normal...

I understand how it can be embarassing for you...  usually the most common infection with bad oder is BV or bacterial vaginosis however it shouldve been detected by the pap smear.  have u had unprotected sex recently or ever?  it is possible that it STIs but if you never had un protected sex, it is high unlikely.  if you had unprotected sex, a pap smear does not test for STIs so go get tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea (common STIs) if you feel you have some infection going on.  also have u always had this smell or this is fairly recent?
