urine culture test... std's?

i've had a few bladder infections before in the past, and a few times they've sent my urine off to the lab for a culture test or whatever... i never really heard back about anything more than it just being a bladder infection? what type of std's can they detect by a culture test, or would they even test for std's?

Bladder infections can keep coming back, even after they are cured.  It's unfortunate, but common.

i went and got tested for std's monday, and the doctor said i have some sort of infection because she noticed my cervix was red and had some discharge or something, so i have to wait two weeks for the results to find out i guess what type of infection it is? my bf was tested a few months ago and was clean so if it's an std like gonorrhea or chlamydia im confused on how he wouldn't have it shown up on his test. but if it's not either std and just some sort of bacteria infection then im confused on how i keep getting infections (bladder, uti's) when ive taken the medicine that's supposed to kill the bacteria.

Typical urine cultures are not accurate for testing of STDs.  You can do cultures for them, but they would be a different type of culture than what was done for your bladder infections.

i forgot to add that im worried i have a genital std or something of that sort. so i was wondering if they would have detected it through a urine culture test? i have an appointment made to go get test but was trying to figure out if i can relax a little knowing ive had cultures done in the past and not heard anything back from them.
