Hello antlin
You write about neuro symptoms, diarrhea, elevated copper and zinc.
I probably would think about your liver, have they checked it out correctly?
But I don`t want to scare you,it could be everything....
yours sweetie :)
Hi antlin, I'm glad you found us but I'm sorry you had to ...
these sx must be quite worrying and definitely difficult to live with. Strange about your heavy metal 'overload' - did anyone have an explanations for that?
Just a longshot - is there anything toxic in your enivronment that could possibly be triggering all this? A sudden weight loss of 65-70lbs is extreme to say the least.

Has Celiac Disease been ruled out by the GI Specialists?
yes, they did do a mri on my neck and spine w/o dye, eeg, ct of head/brain w/o dye, blood work - metabolic panel, cbc w/ diff wbc, magnesium and phosphorus. this is what all was done in er in march. they claim everything look fine. but one thing that my nutrionist saw that they over look was that b-6 level was very low and that my copper and zinc serums were unusually high. the b-6 level is now under control, but there is still now answer to why my zinc and copper is high.
something i didn't mentions is that a few weeks after the neuro started, i started having GI problems which have also continued to now. that problem is plain. every thing i eat and drink goes straight through me.... within 15-20mins of intake i get extreme diarrhea. this is now continuing to go on the 4th month. i am trying to keep nourished w/ ensure plus and as much fluid as i can. but have had to have IV fluid 2x and the last time was it was getting closer together.
so far GI drs. have done tons of blood work and test and are still working on the problem. he also gives me the impression that the neuro and gi problems are connected.
since the gi stuff started in april i have lost btw 65-70 lbs. and dropping.
thanks everybody.
dear antlin70,
i am sorry to hear of your struggles with your health, but glad you found your way to this forum. i hope we are able to answer some of your questions and give you some solid support.
like helen41 asked, it would be helpful to know what tests they ran in the ER. i think a second opinion sounds like the absolutely right thing to do since you are not getting any satisfaction from the first neuro. it has been a sort of mantra here in limboland to never give up and if your docs aren't doing you right, find new ones.
best wishes,
binx
Did they do an MRI in the ER?
