TIA's, Seizures, and Migraines

Hi all,

I've been reading through some things that have been written here and on other forums, and I am stunned by the amount of those who talk about TIA's, Seizures, and Migraines.  Some of you know I have been floundering around for awhile, looking for an answer for my TIA's, Seizures, and Migraines for a year, but it was not until recently that the real answer seems to have been found in my heart.  Anyway, I do believe it is the REAL answer this time, because there is REAL evidence...not just a guess due to symptoms.

I am athletic, very fit, do long distance cycling (until this past Sept as now things have tanked for me) my heart is very strong, so NO doctor ever thought to really check my heart for a problem.

My question is has anyone been told that maybe their TIA's, Seizures, and Migraines could be heart related?  The TIA's I am talking about are TIA's that they really cannot put a true answer to...like a ghost in the night.

This might be an avenue some could take that has not been investigated before.  Just a thought.

Wishing you all wellness...
Wanna :o)

Hi wanna,

I think I misunderstood your original post but "get it" now and am glad you are getting the right answers.

The only reason I put that out there was just for perhaps another avenue for someone else to pursue, if their TIA's, Seizures, and Migraines had no other explanations, like mine.  The attempt was made to explain mine through my autoimmune disease, but there was no test results to support that hypothesis.

The surgery I am having to repair my heart can only be performed under strict FDA guidelines, which I more than meet the criteria.

I was very surprised when I learned (and read up on) what I had been experiencing was heart related.  My cardiologist did say that this will not cure my autoimmune disease, however it should stop the seizure episodes and some of the neurological, problems I am having.

If I am not getting enough blood to my brain, it does make sense.  He is the only doctor who has given me concrete evidence for my episodes, and he called a surgeon at the CC to look over my results and agree to the surgery.  So, I am not skeptical because it seems to be the real answer for me.

I hope this might help someone else.

Wanna

Perhaps I'm just more skeptical than you, but I thought that TIA's, Seizures, and Migraines were often used as catch-all explanations for any slight, non-specific abnormalities on MRI.  I've read a lot of testimonials from people in "Limbo" who are given these as possible (but unproven) explanations for their woes in the absence of definitive test results.

It is an interesting hypothesis that the 3 could be related through some disease process.  I don't know the answer to that.
