Bacteria Vaginitis and HPV

I've read many other boards and I know I'm not alone on this issue. I have been dealing with BV now for 5 years on and off... I've been given metro gel and flagyl to treat it and it comes back as soon as I have sex... I Use tampons.. Change my bath soap... use a panty liner that is scented... wear the wrong type of underwear... I workout and sweat and don't shower like right away... When I have intercourse and my boyfriend ejaculates in me... It seems like my vagina is just super sensitive and, this is very embarrassing and hard on my personal and everyday life... I always know I'm coming down with it because, my discharge will increase and change... sometimes it's milky white with a simi mild Oder like vinegar or chlorine... then when it's bad its snotty mucus that is clear/yellowish with like a foul fishy Oder... I start having abdominal discomfort and even sex isn't that pleasuring at times... I've been to my doctor so many times...I've been cleared of STDS... I've been sleeping with the same partner for 5 years... his been checked and cleared too... My doctor hasn't diagnosed me yet... She just does a wet smear or something to look under a microscope and then tells me its a bacteria infection and throws a falgyl prescription at me... I'm sooo tired of this... Is there anything else I can do to prevent this... I'm thinking about stopping sex all together? Does this folic acid, acidophiles work? I don't even know how I got this or where it started... It's unfortunate but, it's a big deal and it's really effecting my life... I'm also, wondering if my HPV(human papilloma Virus  ) is causing the reaccurance of vaginitis... ??? Can anyone shed a little knowledge on my situation?

I also suffer from this problem. I have for several years and none of the treatments have worked. It's always much worse after intercourse, but even when I don't have sex for long periods of time, I still have a problem with discharge. Has anyone here gotten any helpful responses on the matter? I recon by the way it sounds, this is more common than we think it is.

Hello girls,
Iam having the same problem. Took clyndamicine on december from vaginal burnings. My doctor checked the discharge and said its a sign of infection, didnt mention BV but the treatment was for that. 2 months later i went to my family doctor again who checked the discharge said u have neither bv nor yeast. I continue to have intense itching, and discharge as always. Used myself pevaryl one night which made me worse. Went to the gyn then and she checked the discharge said u have the bacteria that u need to have and didnt give me any medication. Maybe its in my mind i feel like im sick down there. Do i have to stop worring? Noone of the three doctors havent confirm yeast and the first confirmed bv, but after antibiotics doctor said ur fine, but y i still have discomfort in the vagina and not feeling good. Its fixed that im sick down there, any suggestion to leave this episode behind?
Thank you

I have the same problem as u so. I got mine when I was in the Army. We literally had like 2 minutes 2 pee. I was on my period & was rushed & 4got 2 take my tampon out b4 inserting another. I know... how can u do something like that? I ask myself that all the time. That was 3 years ago & I still deal with it from time 2 time. I do take B12 Folic Acid pills everyday & that may have an affect on it. I know that my dr told me that BV is a TYPE of sexual disease (NOT an STD tho) but does show up more when sexual intercourse is [resent. I would say switch doctors bc the 1 u have isnt taking the right measures on ur case. Best of luck!
