Can semen go through clothes and get you pregnant?

by lysase, Nov 06, 2009 11:25PM
Yesterday my bf and I were in my room and and one thing led to and other and we ended up each wearing just underwear. We were having dry sex (no penetration) and I know that a bit of his underwear was wet with precum (I dont know if moist is a better word for it, but something along the lines) and my underwear was wet through with my own fluids. thing is there was a moment where he rubbed his penis on my vagina (us both still wearing underwear) and also rubbed his finger on my sex (no skin contact).

Now, I've read many questions and answers on the internet about this subject, but no one has said for certain that sperms cannot go through clothing. I know that if he had been soaking with semen there might be a chance of pregnancy and that normally there has to be a direct skin to skin contact with the genital area so the sperms can flow up the vagina. But my question is this: Could I get pregnant like this? What are the odds?

Also, Im thinking very seriously on taking morming after pills, but I'm still a virgin and I've never been to the ginecologist, so will taking the pill do me harm? Even if maybe I'm being far too paraniod and absolutely nothing happened?

well... If you arestill here, thanks for reading my concerns. I'm a 17 year old girl with some huge plans for the future and I don't want to take any chances.

By the way, I think I'm on the top of my fertility cycle, or at least, very fertile. Does that add too much into the ecuation?

Thanks for reading!

Okay, semen dies when it is in contact with air. So you don't have anything to worry about. If you haven't had sex there is no reason to take the morning after pill, it would just be a waste of money. If you really don't want to get pregnant you could get on birth control. The good thing about doing that is that it would regulate you're period and would have a 99% chance of not getting pregnant. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Its good to take precautions, but there is nothing to be worried about since you haven't had sex and the semen hit the air.

Yes, exactly as the previous poster said, you don´t have to worry. I understand your concerns and it is better to be "slightly paranoid" than careless in these things, and I know that all the warnings about sexual education and prevention etc are very, very useful nowadays but if it is taken too far, it can have also some "dark side" or some negative side effects, especially getting too worried which can have negative consequences on our sexual life later (worries and fears/inhibitions in a healthy sexual relationship  which can lead to sexual dysfunctions and spoil sexual satisfaction etc...).

So in your case, don´t worry, everything is OK.

I wish you the best of luck and a lot of happiness in everything in your life.
