Excess Vaginal Wetness During Sex

I am a mid 30s female and have excess vaginal wetness during intercourse.  I was on Depo Provera for about 10 years and then switched to birth control bills.  During this time, I never had a problem with excess vaginal wetness and enjoyed a high sex drive and satisfying sex life.  I recently went off all birth control, planning to get pregnant.  Now, I have been experiencing excess vaginal wetness and it negatively effects my sex life with my husband.  Of course, I can't find a lot of information about the topic or any medications/solutions to address the issue.  Help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Doc says there's nothing wrong down there it looks normal but I get WET as ever when jus been touch by a man the right way. He loves it but by the time he takes the panties off they soak! Its not that I hate it but dont always like it. Its like I have *** in my panties before sex.

Same here ( i am 28 yrs old) and i always use the excuse: " u just turn me on too much" , but yeah its embarrassing and annoying if ur with somone who isnt into too much secretion. many men think it's hot and would love to drown down there ;) anyway, i have another problem, my vagina starts making noises when im at work or home just like the ones that happen during sexual intercourse, similar to gases...anyone knows why?

Hi...I am 44yrs.old female.....I have been reading these articles....and I realized that I also have excessive wetness....it isn't a problem at this time because I've been celibate for 9 years....even though I was aware of it...it only happens if I'm thinking about a man that I'm attracted to....so if I'm at work...I have to change my thoughts because if I don't...the wetness can produce a wet sound that can be quite embarrasing...and also the uncomfortable feeling of wet clothing...and added with the scent of being aroused that is really intended by design for that chosen man only.....and if I'm at home alone and get to the point of orgasm...when it rains ....it pours....I really didn't know that this was a serious problem for some women....I thought that it was happening to me because I'm abstaining from sex at this time.......

I love it when a woman gushes or squirts.  It's very very sexy and a huge turn on!  It's a big problem however when a woman is dry as it make getting into her difficult and I find it a turn off with the result that my erection just flops.  Very frustrating, however I can usually getting going again by masturbating with my tip on her clitoris or getting her to use my penis to masturbate herself.  I like to orgasm on her vulva that way.

I am so glad I found you. You say you had the LVR surgery with Dr. Matlock. I have been thinking about having it done with Dr. Wesley Ann Brady in Dallas. She says she was trained by Dr. Matlock. My problem? It seems like my vagina is too stretched out and wet for my husband to really feel me during intercourse. I have delivered four large babies in my lifetime. The last one was born 23 years ago. I am 58 years old now and have been married for the past 14 years to a wonderful husband who is a wonderful lover and provides me with oral sex orgasms anytime I want them.  However, we can hardly feel each other during intercourse. He is a bit smaller than average in penis circumference and I fear that I am too big inside. I am also very wet. Dr. Brady says that I am 9mm inside, whereas my husband's size translates to 3mm in circumference (5 inches). If I have the laser surgery, will all my lubricating glands be cut away? I don't want to become too dry. You said that you were still able to get wet. Did you have a large amount of tissue lasered away? Did it affect any other part of your sensitivity? Thanks you so much for your advice in advance!

I have a similar problem. During masturbation or manual stimulation, I don't have a problem with excess moisture. However, upon penetration, I gush. Even before I orgasm, it soaks the comforter. There's no scent, but there's a lot of it and it's really watery. My boyfriend doesn't mind, but it's still pretty embarrassing.

Hi Im 22 and I recently came off of my contraceptive pill to try for a baby with my husband.
I am currently experiencing the same problem.
I havent been to see the dr yet but will soon and a gynacologist.
A lot of the comments seem quite flippant like wetter the better and its a turn on but if you actually look up excess vaginal wetness you will see that DRS actually say that increased wetness lines the cervical walls making it less pleaurable for both the man and the woman...
I never had this issue whilst i was taking the pill and used to enjoy becoming wet due to excitment during foreplay... its weird to just be wet all the time you feel a bit sloppy like you wanna have a wash...

I dont know about the others, wetness can be comfortable 2 a certain degree, but when it gets to much,it tends 2 b slippery. I think the firmer the better.

I also have this wetness problem. I've said to him "oh its only you, I get this because you turn me on so much" spiel. At the end of the day however, I am losing enjoyment as well as him and thats no fun because at my age (38) I'm feeling more sexual than ever and I want to enjoy it.
These are the findings of my own research as there are starting to be alot of bloggs on this subject from women with this same issue.
- Definitely check for Chlamidia just in case. my Dr told me today even the most frequently used tests are not guaranteed to pick up the presence of this STD. Thats why tomorrow I'm taking those two yukky pills anyway (just to be on the safe side).
- Birth control pill. I do believe this will assist to stem the flow. I bleed less when I'm on the pill and my libido and arousal is more moderate. Its the inflamation associated with arousal that facilitates over production. However if you are trying to procreate like me you may wish to try the following instead.
- Antihistamine apparantly assists to dry out over production of mucus in the body such as saliva and vaginal juices. I am about to try this.
- Douching with cold water before sex calms over activity in the vaginal walls before the event. I always do this anyway with varied results.
- Stressing is no good for it either, another word could be self consciousness. Thats why some people suggest a glass of wine before sex. Does not sound that practical, however I have concentrated on being more calm and less aroused in my mind (the seduction phase)before having sex and this has delayed the flow and enables us to  enjoy sex better in the first few minutes. For many thats enough.
- Some say, have intercourse first off. I agree this can help too. IE, dont think sexy thoughts, then go for quick penetration then warm up.
- Some say, do lots of oral sex first to get the flow over and done with. This sounds like the more pleasurable option to me, but I think this depends on your partner, how outgoing he is in the bedroom and how cool he is with oral sex and having a towel on hand. Some men are totally fine with this, with others I suggest you say you need a pee and take an intermission to dry off or cold ******.
Hope this helps, I'm still working on a solution!

I too understand entirely where you are coming from. Sex between my husband and I has become a nightmare. I get too wet and we both lose sensation and everything is a 'flop' from there. It affects me psychologicaly too. I feel impaired somehow and inadequate. I saw my GP and had a vaginal swab done. Results showed I was producing too much of the good bacteria and my body was trying to flush it away. 2 courses of antibiotics later and the problem is still here. But no infection. I wonder if it is hormonal (i'm mid 30's).
Whatever the cause I'm desperate for it to be resolved...my sanity and marriage depend upon it!!

I can so relate! People who have not experienced don't understand. Excess wetness reduces sensation, which is a bad thing (and no amount of Kegels will fix it). I'm now on a birth control pill that can cause vaginal dryness (Marvelon) but in my case has reduced the wetness to a more reasonable amount, making it so much better for both of us. I gather it's a hormonal problem, so the only solution is likely to be bc pills. I tested high for androsteindione; that may be the hormone that's the problem.

Have you talked to your husband about this and he is stating that it bothers him? I would make sure that you aren't making assumptions that the increased wetness is bothering him and that there is not something else (I'm not saying that there is but just to get it out in the open).

best of luck

Yes, I'm not sure how this is a problem, but I've not heard of this.  Usually women have the opposite happen.  Are you still having high sex drive?  You could try to have a towel or something near you to get rid of some wetness if it is really excessive.  I've never heard of that.  I wish you very good luck getting pregnant.

Can I ask why it would turn you husband off? Most men find it very sexual.

Hiya, well I heard somewhere that excess wetness can be a sign of pregnancy, obviously I dont want to get your hopes up if youre planning. I just remembered reading that on a site once and thought I'd let you know
