Leaking condom?

Hi there,

This evening my boyfriend and I had sex. We used a new type of condom that we do not normally use. It was rolled down all the way, and even though there was no reservoir tip we made sure that there was space in the tip. After he had ejaculated he held onto the condom while he pulled out. However when he sat up, there was a medium amount of semen located near the base of his penis.

Once we looked into it more closely it turned out that the condoms we used are a larger size then necessary (trojan magnum brand). However we tested the condom with water and it did not appear to  have broken or leaked during intercourse. I am wondering if this "leakage" is from gravity and his ejaculate was just flowing towards the base of the penis as he lost his erection, and that is why the ejaculate came out (it had no reservoir tip to stay in) or if there may have been a sizing issue with the condom or if we had a problem with breakage.

When he initially rolled on the condom it did not seem to be overly large and it did not slide around while we were having sex. The only time that there was semen outside the condom, was after he sat up and the penis was still pointing slightly upward. However there was a fairly significant amount of ejaculate outside the condom near the base of the penis and on his pubic hair and scrotum.

Basically I am very worried about getting pregnant and am curious if I should take the morning after pill or any other precautions?

I don't know if I am overreacting and this was just gravity taking affect or not as we have been having sex for two years and have never used a condom without a reservoir tip. (does this make a large difference for leaking after withdrawal?)

Thank you!

I know it's been a couple of days by now, but if this were ever to happen again I would pick up the morning after pill immediately.  It might be a good idea to buy some anyway just in case.
