Masturbation affecting real sex

Here is a quick background of my situation.
I went from the age of 17 when I lost my virginity to 23 without having intercourse. I masturbated generally 1 or more times a day. Now I have a regular girlfriend and am having sex a few times a week. Problem is that I have never been able to ejaculate without manual stimulation with her. I've tried in the past going without masturbation for up to 4 days but it did not seem to help. Recently I have had trouble staying erect during normal intercourse and it is really causing a rift to be formed. Also I use porn during my masturbation but I still find my girlfriend attractive and really want to have normal sex with her. I read about reducing porn usage as a possibility but I want to know if stopping masturbating is what I should do or just regiment myself (once or twice a week).

Thank you for your input.

Thanks to all who responded. So far I have reduced my porn and masturbation significantly and I was able to achieve an organism. But is was not as potent as my manual ones. Still I think I am on the right track.

I used to be in the same boat losing my virginity at age 22 to the woman that later became my wife.  We pretty much discovered sex together but after the divorce and not having the knowledge, maturity, or experience to date yet, I turned to porn as we were fairly sexually active even after 11 years of marriage.  Then, I found with different sexual partners, condom or not, I was starting to rely on the mental images from the porn or asking the "wilder ones" (for lack of a better term) to replicate the actions or words from some of the porn to help me achieve orgasm.  So, yes, since you are able to go four or five days, just hold it.  That will make sex with your woman more gratifying when it happens.  During my last steady girlfriend, I still chose to masturbate but you have to remember this:  men can have sex whenever they want, women chose when to have it (it really is "in the mood"!)  So, after that relationship ended, I didn't masturbate in between times of having sex with other women and it was very, VERY nice.  Hope it helps!

Okay, I'm not recommending you have sex without the condom but at least we can pinpoint if the problem with the condom or with sex period. But in your case, perhaps it is the wrong type condom. It took me years to find a condom that was compatible with my penis. My favorite condom is Durex Love Condoms. My point is you have to experiment with different condoms until you find the one that fits you.

What happens when you have sex without a condom? Is it the same results? Not reaching ejaculation....  Still going down during sex?
