Mild redness around penis opening.

Was tested for STDs twice as did my partner. Seems to be slight irritation around the opening of my urethra.  Doctor told me it was anxiety and a urologist said the inside of my urethra looks fine. No discharge and urine test showed no issues. Going on three weeks now.

Do any of the docs see the irritation you see, or is it something you only feel?

Do you have any other symptoms - burning, frequent urination, any problems with urination, pain anywhere - testicles, abdomen, anywhere in the groin?

Are you anxious about having an STI or infection for any reason other than this irritation? If you didn't have this irritation, would you be worried about STIs?

I went to a urologist and he said it was anxiety but I do notice redness when I get out of the shower. It's tender to the touch and no so noticeable when not immediately out of the shower. I do notice that my stress is making my penis ride very tight to the body, leaving it pointing directly into my underwear, on that spot. For now I packed it in Neosporin and a small gauze pad. I'm thinking/hoping  friction from my underwear but it's been two weeks.
If you're stressed enough to cause your penis to ride that tight to your body, what are you doing to relieve that stress? It sounds like your body is screaming out for some coping skills.

If it's the most noticeable right out of the shower, maybe you're having a reaction to your soap? Try using a non-soap cleanser or a soap made for sensitive skin.

Also, maybe wear looser underwear.

If your doctors are saying anxiety, and stress is having that kind of impact on your body, have you considered therapy? I don't know what's happening in your life, and don't need to know, but therapy can really help.
