Usually frequent UTI's in a sexually active female happens mainly because during intercourse secretions from both the male and female are rubbed against the Urethra.
This Bacteria then like to find it's way up through the Urinary track.

To help eleviate this it is ALWAYS important to make sure and urinate after sex. This helps to flush out any bacteria that may be lurking in that area. Another good idea is to make sure and wipe off or shower after intercourse. Baby wipes next to the bed are a quick and easy way to do this if you don't want to shower.

And of course as butterfly had mentioned Cranberry Juice is good. They also have Cranberry pills you can get and take everyday, usually found in the feminine hygiene section.  One more thing is if you like yogurt....Good thing to eat. If not, then you can by Pro-Biotics and take orally.

I hope things get better for you soon. UTI's are no fun!
Take Care,
~Tonya

...drink plenty of fluids, especially cranberry juice, to help flush out your urinary tract. But, since the infections keep recurring, you'll probably have to be seen by a doctor and be placed on antibiotics.
