Question to Women

my girlfriend and i have been having sex for the past 3 months or so and stimulating each other for about the past 6 months. we always use condoms (i would prefer she get the pill too but shes 16 and cant go to the doctor alone because she will need parental conesent to get on the pill wont she?) to avoid pregnancy. we both occasionally still worry that she could be pregnant. now the other day i say "so have you started your period yet? and she says "nope not yet" and then she says "but dont worry about it the other thing happened so i know im not so dont worry about it"
now my question is WHAT is the other thing?
i think she might be confused but hey im not a female so idk how you girls work.
is there something else that wouldnt happen if you were pregnant?
we havent gotten to hang out in a couple weeks and her periods are kind irregular so any information would be helpful thanks

we've been together for about 18 months we're both first timers when it comes to the whole sex thing and i know condoms arent foolproof thats why we get nervous about pregnancies. supposedly this "fluid" we'll say comes 2 weeks prior to her period. i guess i REALLY dont understand the female cycle? So this and the normal period bleeding and both non pregnant signs?

I have no clue what the other thing is, so I think you need to ask. If you think you are old enough to be sexually active, then you need to make sure you are safe. Do not trust anyone (not even your girlfriend) when it comes to having safe sex. There are many guys in this world with an std or a baby who have been told trust me I am taking care of it by a girlfriend.

Im wondering does she mean some type of PMS symptom like monthly bloating or body aches.  Anyway, you should ask her what she means
Also wanted to add that condoms are not fool proof (they break!)  It might be a good idea for her to get on the pill as well.  Dont really know what the rules are about age and such but you could easily call your local health dept. and ask info
