Should I be bleeding this much after sex?
My boyfriend and I have just started having sex, and he tends to go quite rough. a couple days ago (August 23rd) I started bleeding, and it hasn't stopped since. I wasn't too worried at first, but I'm starting to get worried and would like to know if I should be? I've been looking up whether or not sex can start your period, but seeing as mine isn't supposed to start until September 2nd (the day this was posted is August 26th) I don't know if I believe that's what's happening, not to mention the flow of it all is nothing similar to my regular period.

Bleeding after sex is not normal, unless this happened to be your very first time having sex ~ although the bleeding shouldn't be as heavy as a period. If you don't believe the bleeding is caused by an irregular period, you should see a doctor right away or go to an emergency room. Rough sex is fine, as long as someone isn't getting hurt in the process. An injury during sex, dryness, an infection within the vagina, polyps, etc. can cause bleeding, but can be treated by a doctor during a pelvic examination. Bottom line, get checked out by a doctor if this has you worried.
