i just want to say that you'll find college a breath of fresh air. it isn't at all like highschool silliness or whatever you've possibly watched on tv that's got you upset. the young people are more mature, laid back, and more in touch w/ themselves b/c for the first time ever, so many of them have been separated from their families, friends, clicks and whatever used to be the norm for them
however, if you know that the college you have in mind is known for having gang activity or dangerous people, you should look for another college to attend. college is not supposed to be a dangerous place to go
