what is it?

for some reason my vagina feels irriated, hot, and itchy. i did have sex a month or so with a guy and everything seemed fine. i started my period 5 or so days ago and i started having really bad cramps since ive been off my birth control so i was using some ice hot on my tummy upper legs and back.. i thought i had it all of, but when i went pee and wiped i must of some how got some icy hot down there and it started to get hot like icy hot does and then it eventually went away. well since then my crotch now feels hot irriated and itchy a little.. (not to sound gross) but i decided to take some toilet paper and swipe it down there and then smell it.. it smells diff not like gross or infection, i cant perfectly discribe it but it doesnt usually smell that way.. so anyways im wondering if i might have a yeast infection? or if i screwed somethin up when the ice hot got down there? please help? thanks a million
