Itching...please, please...help

Last time I had sex was 3 years ago. I was in a relationship with this man for a year. I often had this itching sometimes really, really bad...it drove me nuts. No discharge, but during sex white thick cream-like stuff came out pulled out by his penis. I was so embarrassed...but now I wonder: could he caused that? I had NO SUCH PROBLEMS before him, and I'm no longer with him but I the itching never stopped. I have it on and off. I'm alone, no boyfriend, no sex...only the itching for company. What is it? If I'm ever in a new relationship I don't want the problem, the itching, the embarrassment again. Oh, I'm 38

Thank you very much. I'm not sure what BV is. Sorry. No birth control or condoms were involved. Doctors just give me a that "magic" pink pill that takes care of the problem and no yeast for awhile, but it does not cure it. It comes back. I am going to a gyno in 3 days. I want cure not short term treatment. It comes back like a headache...you take Advil and it's good for a while, but it soon comes back. I am frustrated. I've been with my man for 7 months...and no sex because I'm afraid that it'll go all wrong.

Have you been to a gynecologist regarding the itching? I'd recommend that first before anything, especially if it's still happening.

As far as your last boyfriend goes, it sounds like you had a yeast or BV infection (both of which can leave discharge on the man's penis after having sex). While you may never know what caused the infection, next time just make an appointment with your doctor to treat the infection. It happens, sometimes because of new birth control, different kind of condom, etc. Don't let it stop you from dating again.
