I am a 53 year old woman. I started masturbating at the ripe age of 9, and haven't stopped since then. It is getting to be a issue with me now since I know it's not right. I don't know the reason. I am not currently in a relationship, but when i am, I just cannot be satified.

Where are you at on this thread you started ??-- you have had several positive inputs and suggestions that have addressed the masturbation issue and no one is saying that you should feel wrong in doing it..

Mastrubating when excited is not wrong in anyways. Infact it is the right thing to do. you can make it pleasurable by fantasising. i guess you need to unclutter your mind.
You should not feel that it is not right to masturbate . A high percent of women achieve orgasm from outside the vagina. If you are saying that you feel that masturbating is causing you not to be able to reach vaginal climax, then yes, that could cause you an issue . Having sex with a man , can provide satisfaction in many ways and you have already gain a major step in be able to climax by vagina stimulation.. I suggest you pursue a relationship without any reluctance and use your experience to your advantage.. my thoughts only
Not everybody would agree that it's not right. It is good for circulation and mood and helps one relax. Some religions get all involved in things like this, but to me it seems like the perfect solution to not having a sex partner. It's natural and normal and healthy so it's unfortunate that religions have an opinion against it.
What does "It's getting to be an issue now since I know it's not right" mean? Do you think it is morally wrong or do you mean it isn't working any longer?
