odd white things on penis

Hi, i develpoed these small hardish bumps/lumps under the skin around my penis and on my scrotum when i was 15, but never really took much notice of them because i hadn't had any kind of sexual contact by that time in my life so didn't think it was any kind of sexual disease. but lately i've been getting worried about what they may be. i haven't gone to the doctor about them because i'm too embarassed, and i can';t see them as being a serious problem. i talked to a friend in confidence about them and he said itt is perfectly natural for some men to get these but i'm still worried what they might be. they are, as i sais, all under the skin and are kind of hard but a little firm. they are ispaced out around the base of my penis and over my entire scrotum. there is probably around 100 of them altogether. i would say they are all about a quarter the size of a garden pea, but all quite thin. is this perfectly natural as my friend said? or could it be something else? i just want to kbnow if i can put my mind at ease or if i should see the ddoctor about them

thanks

They usually go away on their own, but sometimes they can cause problems. I would say if they begin to interfere with your daily life to go and have them removed.

it seems to me like they are just sebaceous glands filled with that yellow waxy substance, should i go and see the doctor about them or will they just go away themselves after a certain amount of time?

They can be a variety of things from warts to absesses. If you're that worried about them, go see a doctor. Small, round bumps on the penis and scrotum are usually sebaceous glands that occasionally fill with a yellow, waxy substance. Yes, these bumps are normal.
Do they have an indent in the middle of them? When you squeeze them, does white puss come out? If so, then it's probably molluscum contagiosum..a bacterial infection. It usually goes away within 6-12 months..but if it's bothering you that much your doctor can prescribe you Retin-A to remove them.
