sex before period. and use nordette

Hi! just want to ask and sorry for my bad English

my girlfriend and I have sex just this morning, and unfortunately I *** inside her so we decided to buy a nordette its a ECP (Emergency Contraceptive Pills) . however this afternoon she had her menstrual period.

So does she still needs to take nordette? or since she got her period after sex we are safe from pregnancy.
Please help.

Is this the time she expected her period to come?

If it's been about 28 days since her last period,  and this appears to be a normal period,  you're in the clear.

It's very unlikely she will get pregnant - it sounds like her period is a little late coming this month.

I really don't know exactly which ECP you use,  but time is really critical if you want that to work - can you ask the pharmacist these questions?  I'd hate to get the answer wrong.

Best wishes.

this was not the time she is expecting her period to come, actually its a bit late. her last period was on Aug. 16 and i think it last 7days. so i think she is not now in 28 days cycle. so does this mean she needs to take ECP?
