Well she didn't have medical insurance. I know when I didn't have insurance I went to the ER instead of a primary physician, as CMS would pay for that. The alternative was coming up with $200-400 in cash for an appointment. Also, if she did get CMS insurnace, there are certain insurances that only "cover catosptrophic" or emeergent issues so therefore inorder t see a doctor for anything, one must go for the ER. So I never blame the person, I blame our states/country's healthcare coverage and options for low-income people/families as we aren't left with the same option other people are-such as shceduling an appoitnment with a physician.

Why did you go to the ER? That costs your medical insurance $5000!

A simple visit to any family physician could have solved this. Its people like you that drive up the rates for everyone else.

HAPPENS.. could be a bacterial cause... mostly happens when u dont wash down there often.. start washing down there everydayright after u use the washroom or even use baby wipes.. works all the time.. trust me just give it a try for a couple of days adn see what happens... if not go to the doctors for sure! GOOD LUCK!

The fishy smell could be bacterial vaginosis

It could be a bladder infection--the fishy smell indicates that there is an infection. Make an appt and have ur  urine tested. U may also need pap smear at the Obgyn. Good luck!

It sounds like it could be a bladder infection, or other type of infection down there, which would mean antibiotics. Bladder infections don't always cause pain and the main symptom is cloudy urine. If your scar is also showing signs of possible infection, you certainly don't want to play around with that. This may turn out to be something as simple as something in your diet-such as asparagus, infamous for stinky urine, but if it is an infection, left untreated it could lead to a pelvic or kidney infection, which you don't want to have. If you don't have insurance, one way to get to the doctor is to do some research online for free or low-income clinics in your area. Most counties have these unless you live in a very small town. There's usually a county or public department of health as well as other free clinics you can go to, you might just have to wait a while. If anything you could also try a planned parenthood and ask for an exam and STD check-that way they'll test you for infections as well. They can treat you as long as it relates to reproductive health, so you just have to mention you are sexually active. In the long run, I do highly suggest you get medical insurance, as you never know when you'll need it. There's multiple programs out there that offer insurance to low income people, including CMS, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, and others. To get more information on how to apply, you can contact your county's social service department or do some research online. With these types of programs it can take several months to be accepted, so it would be a good idea to get started now. I hope everything works out and you get the treatment you need, and wish you good luck and best wishes. Take care,
