swollen clitirous

hey well right, i have been sexually active for a month now and i have slept with my partner alot of times, we have used condoms so i know im not allergic to them, but tonight before sex he was playing with my clitirous, then we had sex using a condom, when i returned home 30 mins later i realised my clitirous was swollen and a little bit sore, people keep telling me it might be because of friction caused when he was playing with me .. but im just so worried .. has anyone got any suggestions to what it might be ? x

Hi.

There are several possibilities here; however, no one can tell you for sure what's happening without a complete exam. If your clit continues to be swollen and sore after a few days, do see your gynecologist or local women's clinic/Planned Parenthood.

Most likely, you've just been on the receiving end of some very "enthusiastic" stimulation. Now it's your job to communicate with your partner what feels just right and what feels a bit too intense. People aren't mind-readers, and everyone of us has different needs and responses. That's why you need to tell or show your partner. He may think he needs to jerk it around like a gearshift in order to put you into overdrive, when the opposite is true.

It's also important to know that during sexual arousal, the clitoris and surrounding area become swollen. That's because blood rushes to the area, causing it to swell, deepen in color and pulsate. This is your body's response to stimulation. However, after orgasm, all that extra blood returns to the rest of your body. And here's the important part: if you DON'T have an orgasm, it takes your body a lot longer to return to its unaroused state, and that blood can hang out for quite some time, leaving you feeling bloated, and your clit swollen.

So what can we learn from this? Two lessons: tell your partner what you like, and as much as possible, once you're very turned on, it's a good idea to have an orgasm. Dr. J

This happened to me after oral before when my husband got a little to suck happy lol, and the area stayed puffy for about a day. You should be fine i'd say as long as you notice the swelling go down in a day or so if not you may want to call your gyno and ask them about it
