Injured clitoris/urethra
THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, PLEASE WILL A DOCTOR OR AN EDUCATED PERSON RESPOND: A few hours ago I was shaving my lady parts and I some how sliced my clitoris/urethra. It stings a little but thats not what I am truly worried about. It is a vertical slice and I am concerned that it will not heal or that it will get infected. It sort of looks like I sliced my urethra and therefore made the opening larger. I am extremely prone to urinary tract infections. Should I go to a hospital or see a doctor. If not, should I put some neopsporin on it and keep the area clean and dry for as lond as possible. This is really important and I am really embarassed. Please help me.
Ouch! Your best bet is to call your gynecologist's office and ask to talk to the nurse. Trust me-they have heard of everything so there's no need to be embarrassed. They will give you sound medical advice. They may even want to prescribe some antibiotics to avoid any potential infection. If you don't have a gynecologist, there are usually some medical help hotlines you can call or try your local public health department and ask to speak to someone in the women's health section.
