Nope, not a factor. What you may be feeling if it was an enjoyable session for you is the endorphins that are released in your body. It's like a natural form of morphine that our body releases - called the 'feel good chemical'. Especially if you are having orgasms - you will get that kind of high, I'm here and the whole world is out there, everything is wonderful kind of feeling. It can make you giddy - even make your eyes shine. That's how you can look at people sometimes and know they are in love. Could that be it?
I'm not a doctor and I don't drink too. But I don't think so.
Hi dd. I’m wondering what you mean by “drunk.” If you mean happy, giddy, etc., then, as the others have commented, you’re probably just elated from good sex—in which case, congratulations! Another possibility is that you feel breathless, which can lead to a feeling of drunkenness. During sex, sometimes we focus so hard on what we’re doing, we forget to breathe, and, of course, holding your breath can make you feel light-headed. Others of us forget to breathe when we’re feeling anxious (which sometimes happens when we’re focused on pleasing a partner, or trying too hard to have an orgasm, etc.). If you begin to feel faint, there’s a simple solution: slow down and breathe. One other possibility: during sexual excitement, your heart beats much more rapidly, just like when you’re running, for example. This can also lead to a feeling of lightheadedness—especially if your heart is beating very, very fast. So if you find you have a very rapid heartbeat that’s causing you to feel dizzy, drunk, etc., you might want to see your physician for a check-up. Dr. J
