How do you know when you are doing what you should spiritually?  Is there a huge difference in your life between the head/ideas and the heart/reality of doing?

:-)))  I like your answer, minnie.  I like to ask questions because they lead to answers eventually...lol!

Heart---head are often in conflict.  Some think instinct comes from the heart....an inner knowing.  Some think with the head comes thinking, facts and analyzing things & loops...lol!

It is good to hear how others see this.

The peculiar thing with discontent is that it sometimes moves someone out of where they shouldn't be towards where they need to go....kind of like:  It might be time to move on (outgrowing the surroundings).  We can fight it because we feel safer staying in the old place.

I believe that when you know when your doing what you should be doing spirituality, is when things for the most part are in harmony. No real drama. Just the normal daily ups and downs. Trust your heart first and your instinct next.If its really what should be done. You feel an inner peace. You feel good about the things you choose to do.You can kind of feel serene in a sense.Hope this helps Dazon50.

:-)  the doors are ones we are sometime ushered through before we know it as well as tentatively opening or boldly opening to find out what they lead to....which makes them intriguing.

It is an ongoing journey to discover who we are.  There is freedom in letting go and not trying so hard.  It would be neat to hear the ways in which others have found peace in this.

On a personal level, if there is dissatisfaction in my life, I think about what is causing it fully knowing that some times it is not so apparent.  A stubbed toe is one thing.....a back ache another.  Receiving bad news of a death of a loved one is one thing, hearing about Haiti another.  I don't know anyone personally from Haiti, but that doesn't mean I don't care.  I care from a point of being a human, and with all the images of loss, relate from that point of view.  What can I do with it?  Pray, donate $ and be supportive of those I know who have friends & family in Haiti.  The prays go out to all who are helping from all over the world as well as those who lived/worked there whose lives are turned upside down.

The mask for me would be in pretending to care when I didn't...paying "lip-service" to be accepted.  Sometime there is honor in silence and respect.

Knowing and caring about those masks is a personal journey.  Exposure comes in many ways, but it is a personal discovery.  I agree that there are times when we cannot tell.  Very good post :-)))

ah but doors hide things and can keep you out.

Search Maslow's pyramid its a intresting and very truthful thing about being happy in your or any life requare these things

We all desire to be accepted as who we r its a normal and simply thing but more then not we are never being our true selves we get so use to putting on mask to go through the day that we at times cant tell are we still wearing the mask or is this me

Thanks for sharing.

I think we adapt for various reasons...some times to compromise and fit in where we think we will be accepted because we think we want to be.  Then we feel wrong inside because we are not being "ourselves" and by taking that path, we will never really fit in to be "liked" or "accepted" by those we are being someone else for.  Sooner or later, our "real" selves comes out and "poof" ....those people are gone.

I figure by now, that life is way too short to play games whether intended or not.

I realize that I don't need to say or share anything here on Medhelp or any where if I don't want to.  How "freeing" that is.  I do so because it is my hope that my presence may include something said that just might help "1" person.  As long as I can keep that alive and not slip into "numbers" and getting others to like me.....I will be fine.

Spirituality is such a deep place with so many levels and doors.  I like doors because they can be opened and "knocked" on.  They can be designed to be stained glass to reflect some beautiful things.

I like levels and doors because they can lead some where or contain something...keep things safe....keep things out.

I think with discoveries comes a sense of imbalance sometimes for how to fit those discoveries in....where do they go and how to they alter what is already there?

*time to pause for air.

Yes and no

When You feel that your beliefs are right and are fallowing a right path

But its more in how you feel and you believe in your decisions a little more.

No in the fact its not going to be instant and the moment these belief dont fit for you anymore you become lost again (this is what happened to me)
