Can I take a biological parent to court & win?
I have been in my step son's life since he was 1. His father and I got married when he was 6 and he lived with us all the way up to 4th grade. His father got into some trouble and went to prison and the mother use that to her advantage and took me to court. The judge only gave her custody because I had no blood kinship to him. Now he is failing school, crying every time I get him because he has to go back, he's just miserable. Do I have a fighting chance in court because of his mental state?

That's a heartbreaking situation.  I have no advice, and think only a lawyer would know.  Has anything changed?
