100% blocked carotid artery

One of my mother's carotid arteries is 100% blocked and the other 40% (confirmed by MRA). What are our treatment options and what is the prognosis?

Start by talking to your doctor about the circle of willis and how many arteries are needed to supply blood to the brain. You should have heard about feeder arteries that can bypass the blocked artery.

Let me start off by saying the prognosis will depend on if she has other medical problems, her lifestyle, her age, etc.

This is treated with surgery, medications, lifestyle/dietary changes; surgery is not always recommended for some.
