Paralysis second to stroke

Hi, my mom has paralysis second to stroke on her entire body for the past 8years now and there is no improvement. She's been in the same spot, no improvement, she's walking like a baby who just started walking. It gets difficult from time to time, especially because she has 3 college students and one who's still in high school and my dad who is the only one working a full time job almost 7days a week with 12hrs of work everyday.

I hope one day there is a miracle that  happens and there wil be a cure that can help bring my mom back to the same person she once was.

Ever since 2006, she hasn't got any treatments done, no more therapy, no more help from the dr, she's just been seeing a family dr who does the same visits every time.

I am sorry to hear about your mother. At some point in time the doctors get to were they can not do anymore medically. Have your mother keep doing the exercises that she learned during rehab. She can also go to:

http://www.thestrokefoundation.com/

and do the exercises that they have on there website. Will she ever get to the point where she was before the stroke, I am sorry to say that the odds are not very good. All I can say is just have her keep working on regaining some muscle strength.
