red and purple blotches on legs

my husband a a hemmoratic stroke 4 years ago.  They never found the  bleed and gave him about a 4 percent chance of living. He did after he had a crainiatomy.  To make a long story stroke he spoke after he had a very serious seizure for 5 days.  He is aphasic now.  I would like to know how he could speak out of the blue,  Sometimes he speaks in his sleep also.  I would like to know what is causing the red and purple  blotches of his legs and what can I do about it.  Any information would be appreciated.   Thank You.

Hi,

What medication is he on currently?

Has a coagulation profile and platelet count been done recently? Since when have you noticed the lesions on the legs?

Were any intravenous medications given via the leg veins? Is he on physical therapy?

What does his neurologist have to say about the severity of the disease and the chances of recovery in his case?

Let us know the above details so that we may be able to help you.

Regards.
