Someone help me ?

My boyfriend is now 16 years old and has been through allot of rough times in he's life and he has psychosis with some symtomes of schizophrenia disorder aswell..and he's very deppresset he seems very sad all the time and he's very suicidal and he won't tell me anything that's making him upset..he's self harming every night and he does it pretty bad..I try my best to work with him but I feel like he is pushing my help away..he's asked me if he can commit and everything and I've been told by him and by others I'm the only reason he's alive..is there any way I can get him to open up and tell me what's he's hiding or will I have to just work with him and get him more professional help ?

How are you? I understand your concern and it is good that you are there for him especially at this time. There are many types of treatment  available including medications that relieve depression symptoms as well as psychotherapy or combination of these two.  If he has severe depression or is in danger of self-harm, he may need a hospital stay or may need to participate in an outpatient treatment program until symptoms improve. Talk to him and try to have him see a doctor for proper management. Stay strong and positive. Take care and do keep us posted.
