I have had severe jaw pain at the spot where I had a root canal 3 years ago. My oral surgeon went back in and even pulled the tooth out to try and relieve pain that might be from a tooth fragment. No luck. I am in constant pain and my doctors say they don't really know why. They said my jaw is not dislocated so I probably don't have TMJ but they still want to inject my jaw with a nerve block injection. It sounds risky to me, but the pain is agonizing and it's making my life miserable. Does anyone have any feedback on these injections, or what this pain could be from? Thank you so much!
