dry socket pain-HELP

by iamrachelle, Sep 22, 2009 11:53PM
I had my two remaing wisdom teeth removed (bottom).  Now 5 days after surgery have dry socket.  SO PAINFUL.  I cannot sleep, cannot eat unless it is clear broth, and am trying hard to stay hydrated.  What do you do when the oral surgeon doesn't think you need pain medication.  I have NEVER had this much pain for so long.  Ibuprofen is not doing a thing!   I have missed three days of work because of pain, NOt getting housework done, and finally now have just gotten on copmuter to look for help/advice.
