eagle syndrome mistaken for TMJ

I was missed diagnoised for 9 years every day having pain in my jaw ,throat and ear some times the base of my tounge also .It felt like a constant pressure,the only way to get diagnoised is with a panaramic x ray from a oral surgeon or the best way is a 3D cat scan also known as a tomography no other x ray ,reg cat scan blood test will show this elongated styloid process, Im posting this so no one will spend years in pain like I did i saw 7 ENTs 3 oral surgeons and was sent to a cancer center .I learn how arrogant in missed informed these doctors are was told to live wit my symptoms and they were caused by my allergies.I just had surgery yesterday ,this is also commonly mistaken for tmj they say its really rare i think its jus always missed diagnoised want to help who ever i can my email is ***@**** if you have questions

How was your surgery/recovery? How long was your styloid to begin with? Was the surgery intraoral/extraoral? Are you male/female and how old? Were your tonsils removed at some time? I seem to be in the same boat and am considering surgery.
