my thumb sprain wont subside the pain?

i am a weightlifting athlete, it was march 2009 when i lifted a 50 kilogram barbell for my snatch work out, and then, i lifted it successfully but when i drop my barbell to the ground, i forgot to let go of my right hand on holding the barbell and when it is near to the ground where i let go my right hand but the barbell shaft which i am holding to, bounces back(apparently the barbell's plates are rubberized for weightlifting) and hits my right thumb, causing it to give me a sprain, that i can't resist the pain, after 7 months, with pain releivers, the pain is still there because i'm still training for my weightlifting competition for october 2009, i'm 20 years old, and i have a copy of my right hand x-ray, probably the x-ray result wasn't checked by the doctor because he/she was out of town. please help me, for those who want to check my x-ray, post your email address here.
