I went to see Dr. Mark Piper at the Piper Clinic after ending up in the ER do to the extreme pain I was in and being told by that doc that it was TMJ. Anyhow, he is located in Saint Petersburg, Florida, people come from all over the world to see this amazing man. He does not take insurance and your first appt with him ranges anywhere from 10 to 15 hours=all day and is $1800.00 not to mention the MRI and CT scans that take place near by that is about $900.00 but they do take ins.-mine was a $40 copay for that part. They do not fool around, I found out a great deal of information about my specific problem and came up with a game plan before leaving his office. Please let me know if you need any further info he does have a web site and a heck of a waiting list, my wait at first was 3 months but I was able to get in much sooner do to a cancelation an the fact that I live only an hour an a half away.

I'll offer three suggestions of clinicians I know personally and have studied with.  Brendan Stack in Vienna, Virginia.  Ira Klemmons in South Amboy, NJ. Gerald Smith in Langhorne, PA.  The all have years of experience dealing with difficult and unusual cases.  Not knowing any of your symptoms or much about your case I couldn't make a recommendation of which of these three could help you the most.  If you want to send me a private email I may be able to direct you better.   TMJDoc
