OMG I just saw your response for the DIZZY and Ear Pain..
I have been dizzy and have such horrible right ear pain too!!! So that could be a normal thing of TMJ?? I was sure it was from the damn tumor in my head.
Seriously I sound so crazy. Who goes around thinking they have cancer?
But it still doesnt answer my eye floater problem.. I mean its horrible.. its like a shower of tiny circles outside when I look at the sky. I went to get my eyes thoroughly checked out and they couldnt find anything wrong with my eyes.
Thank you so much for you reply!!!
My biggest thing right now is all of the eye floaters I am having its getting ridiculous.
This is the darkest time of my life right now. I have never experienced depression like I am now. And its all because I cant get it out of my head that I am dying. I am CONVINCED that I have cancer and no one is catching it. And I have become obsessed about lymph nodes thinking they are enlarged... I keep getting pains in all my lymph node regions so I frantically keep checking to see if I can feel the nodes now. And so far I havent found any. but I am checking myself at least 10 times a day.
AND there are these two little balls on the back of my head.. well they feel like they are part of my skull that just sticks out on both sides they are about a half inch up from my hairline and completely symmetrical of each other on either side of my spine. and it feels like I can just feel the top of the ball on both of them. my husband keeps telling me they have always been there and my chiropracter keeps telling me that it is a normal part of the skull and just mine seems to stick out more.. I dont know I cant seem to believe them. I think it is lymph nodes and I have cancer.
I HATE FEELING THIS WAY!!!
ugh sorry for the rant. I just have NO ONE to talk to about all of this because everyone thinks I am nuts.
Hey Chrissy,
I'd really strongly encourage you to look into the stress in your life. I suffered from severe TMJ pain for over 2 years straight and it took me quitting my job and startign fresh to alleviate most of my pain. Its like night and day.
If you know you're undergoing stress, how can you minimize it? Are you exercising, eating well? How about sleep? My pain is the least in the morning after a night of rest--this says a lot about your jaw and the muscles supporting it. If the rest of sleep HELPS it, then something during the day is aggrivating it. You may not grind your teeth during the day, but the muscles can tighten to the point the push your jaw out of place or the muscles themselves are hypersensitive. I'm a daytime muscle clentcher. If this is what you're experiencing, be thankful its in the daytime, because we can control what we do when we're awake, but not so easy at night!!
its the small changes in everyday life that can really make a huge impact on this. If you can get your stress reduced i think that could really help you. I could only open my mouth 11 mm (that's less than half an inch) at one point, and suffered greatly.. there is hope!!!
yes to all of your questions
Thank you so much for responding!!!!
My other main question is can the symptoms come and go day to day as I described?
And can it still be TMJ when it doesn't hurt worse when I open my mouth?
My problem seems more muscular than joint. Can that still be TMJ?
Whole musculoskeletal system functions in one unit, tmj is part of the whole system. Rlb cage problem may be related to tmj issues. Seeing a tmj specialist is advised.
