A related discussion, thyroid cancer was started.
Always take thyroid medication on an empty stomach 30 to 60 min. before eating or two hours after eating, for better absorption. Yes, there are certain foods and vitamins/minerals, as well as drugs that should be taken hours (4 or longer) after taking meds. for absorption reasons. Example, it is suggested that calcium be taken 6 to 12 hours after thyroid medication.
I wouldn't avoid foods, for some are very healthy and do more good then harm. Just time them far away from thyroid medication.
Consistency is the key as well. Thyroid medication can be adjusted to conform to our eating and/or life style. However, once discontinued thyroid medication will probably need adjustments.

Best to take the levothyroxine first thing in the am and eat at least 30 minutes later. The foods you mention may alter thyroid requirements, possibly even if taken much later in the day (but probably not so much for whole grains) -- if you are consistent with your diet then it is not necessary to avoid any food, but it is important monitor thyroid function carefully to ensure it is stable.
