Help plz! Thank you!

Hi, I'm 39, F/smoker, and I'm having issues with my throat neck area.  This has been going on for over a month now.  It's like a sore throat but it's not the same, it feels like my neck is swollen or my neck is huge, like I'm grasping for a swallow.  I also hurt down to the middle of my collar bone in the front of my neck.  I have read the symptoms of Thyroid and I have some of them...fatigue, exhaustion
feeling run down and sluggish
depression
difficulty concentrating, brain fog
unexplained or excessive weight gain
dry, coarse and/or itchy skin
dry, coarse and/or thinning hair
feeling cold, especially in the extremities
constipation
muscle cramps
increased menstrual flow
heart racing/ palpitations
feels like my blood pressure is high and face is flush
also I feel like my ears and head is full of pressure. I have been diagnosed with High Blood pressure and High Cholestrol, but, I only take Fish Oil, and CoQ10 for those issues. I work from home due to some medical issues, and I have no insurance, but, I'm a worry wart and I'm so scared to find out what's going on, but I really need to know if this is something I need to seek medical attention about.  Thanks for being here and helping!!! :)

I was having all those same thing and I was just doanosed with hypothyroidism yesterday. If you go to youtube there are vidoes that show u how to do a self exam for your thyroid. mine is enlarged and that was the last thing to take to the dr's. I have been telling them for yrs I have felt these thing on the list and there is family history and I would get check and I was always told I was in the normal range. get your thyroid checked and ask for the #'s and that way u can check to see if its so, b/c lot of dr's are not using up to date range. my dr's office used 0.4 to 4.0 and I was at 5.6. dont worry to much as I did as well. I started my med this am and hope that in the next several weeks things get better. best wishes and keep me posted. oh by the way I too dont have ins my dr's office runs on slinding fee that is based on my income. worth a shot. God bless
