Low Vitamin D level & Hypothryodism

hello
is there any correlation between lowe vitamin D levels & being hypo? (I am on 200mcg synth)
a recent blood test done,  showed that I was severly low on the vitamin D.  and my PTH was 93.
I was put on  50,000 iu of the vitamin D - 2x week.  I been having  fatigue & body aches..i though the thyroid was to blame and needed readjustment on the meds.
should my dr. being cheking other vitamin levels as well as running the usual TSH blood test?

thnx for any input

Would test for celiac sprue -- this is an autoimmune disease (like the Hashimoto's that is likely the cause of your hypothyroidism) that can cause small intestine inflammation (as a reaction to gluten) and decrease vitamin D absorption.   This is the main connection w/ vit D and hypothyroidism.
