you may have some scar tissue causing the symptoms. This usually improves with time -- often it takes 6-12 months. If it gets worse, however, you may want to consider a second opinion from an ENT. If eating is the main problem, a gastro-intestinal (GI) doc could help with the evaluation.
Rose Beth please read the Thread that I posted. In addition I did see a GI Dr. and had barium swallow that showed GERD (gastric reflux) which I'm told gives the symptoms of something being in the your throat with chocking. I too have the feeling of something being in my throat but not a chocking sensation. I was prescribed Prilosec but it really hasn't done anything for me. The GI Dr. may be able to help you.

I had near total thyroidectomy three years ago.My parathyroid seems to have been removed during the surgery.These last few days my muscles become numb and I become tired very soon and also breathless.Is it beccause of low calcium or low thyroid?
