(I began taking the cytomel after I got my labs. So for the past 3 months I have only been on levoxyl.)  And I only have 10% of my thyroid as I got 90% taken out in 2004.

I have maintained a good weight previously. I still run 3 miles everyday and eat healthy. There really is no other explanation for my weight gain. Looks like the doctor will lower my dosage of Levoxyl and keep me on Cytomel. I just have too much thyroid hormone in my body I guess?

Synthroid made me feel really shaky, nervous, gave me dry mouth, etc. I felt fine on Levoxyl until I gained all this unexplainable weight and just recently have been feeling really bad, such as chest pains, shortness of breath. I hope this will all go away once my ENDO lowers my MCG of Levoxyl, what do you think? I will be able to get a response from my Endo Monday, as he is out today.

Thanks

Your thyroid levels were fine and if you added the cytomel to the 100mcg of levoxyl, the TSH will likely be too low (ie, too much medication) and if you stay on cytomel, the levoxyl dose would need to be changed most likely.
The weight gain is not likely due to thyroid.

Looks like my thyroid is operative and I should be losing weight, why would I be so sluggish and gain weight so rapidly ! I was on synthroid previously and could lose weight easily on that but felt horrible on it, now that I find a drug I feel good on and not anxious, etc I gain all this weight??
