Hi,Kennyp,I wanted to ask you a few questions and all so explain my symptoms a little bit more.Fisrt of all I have several 1cm cysts on my thyroid gland.I had my tsh checked in March it checked out fine.They didn't check my t4 though.I feel tired all the time,depressed,my hair comes out real easy all so.My throat stays sore all the time,it has been that way for about 2 years I just thouhgt it of been real bad allergies.It still might be.I don't know.All so the back of my throat feels like it has a liittle marble stuck in it.I all so get choked easy.Does this ever happen to you?I don't see my doctor again until July 18.She doesn't even know about the cysts on my thyroid gland.I all so have heart problems.I had a heart attack last year,I'm just 33 years old.Any information you can give me I would truly apprieciate.Thank You in advance TNT406.

Hi How are you and your wife doing?Great I hope.I hope your wifes blood results are good.I go tomorrow morning and swallow that pill.I can't eat any thing after midnight.My husband said he wants to take me early so that I can come back home and eat.I had to wear a heart holter moniter all after noon yesterday and all last night it was very uncomfortable.I found out to day I am allergic to adhesive tapes.My skin looked like a severe sun burn.Bad time to find out.Wish I knew before then.Don't forget to let me know about your wifes test when she gets them.I'll talk to you later.GOD BLESS KEN AND HIS WIFE.BECKY

I HOPE THE DOCTOR LISTENS TO YOU NEXT TIME AND HE SHOULD ORDER A T4 BLOOD TEST AT LEAST. IF NOT TRY ANOTHER. MAYBE A WOMAN BECAUSE THEY SEEM TO LISTEN BETTER.
TODAY I TOOK MY WIFE FOR HER THYROID BLOOD WORK AND THEY ARE TO CHECK HER TSH AND T4 TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY IMPROVEMENT. I'M SURE THERE WILL BE BECAUSE SHE IS FEELING BETTER. A MONTH AGO HER TSH WAS 246!!!! HIGHEST I EVER HEARD OF AND HER T4 WAS .3 WHICH IS REAL LOW SO IT HAS TO GET BETTER. SHE STARTED ON SYNTHROID .25 AND NOW IS ON .75 ON DOCTORS INCREASED RX.

HOPE THINGS IMPROVE FOR YOU AND THANKS FOR YOUR CONCERN FOR MY WIFE.

Hi Ken How are you and you wife doing?I will try to do better when I go back to the doctor.Yesterday he made me feel very uncomfortable though.I did't feel like he took me serious.I didn't even have the chance to tell him any my symptoms.I felt like he wasn't really listening at all really.Do you think it might go better the next time when I go back?Yesterday was the first time I had met him.I'm hoping it was just first time jitters.And not some thing that will turn into a cycle,every time I see him.Is your wife hyper or hypo?I'm glad you can tell she feels better each day.I don't know what the doctor will do after sonogram test.I thought he would do another blood test and may be my t3 and t4 levels.I know that I have cysts on my thyroid gland and now he does so why the sonogram?That doesn't make no sense to me.It's just another x-ray thing right except I swallow a pill.I just wish he had ordered another blood test.I'll talk to you tomorrow.God Bless You Ken and Your Wife Jesus LOVES YOU.Becky.

MY WIFE HAD AN ULTRASOUND TO CHECK HER NODULES ON THYROID AND EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL. I THINK THE SONOGRAM IS SOMETHING ON THE SAME LINE PUT WITH A PILL. ITS PRETTY NON-EVASIVE.

NOW ABOUT TALKING TO YOUR DOCTOR. THE DOCTOR IS A PAID PROFESSIONAL WHO IS WORKING FOR YOU SO DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TELL HIM ANYTHING PERTAINING TO YOUR CONDITIONS. IF THE DOCTOR DOESN'T LIKE IT THEN YOU SHOULD GET ANOTHER BECAUSE THAT IS THEIR JOB. THEY ARE PEOPLE LIKE WE ARE AND THEY NEED TO GIVE US THEIR FULL ATTENTION. MY WIFE FEELS VERY CONTENT WITH HER DOCTOR AND HAS NO PROBLEM TALKING TO HER. MY WIFE HAS A WOMAN INTERNIST AND SHE LIKES HER EVEN THOUGH I THINK THE DOCTOR IS A LITTLE TOO CAREFUL. BETTER CAREFUL THAN NOT THOUGH. DO NOT BE EMBARRESSED BECAUSE YOU HAVE A CONDITION THAT NEEDS TO BE TREATED PROPERLY.

I THINK MY WIFE IS GETTING A LITTLE BETTER EACH DAY. SHE IS GOING FOR ANOTHER TSH AND T4 ON FRIDAY AND SEEING HER DOCTOR NEXT FRIDAY AND THEN WE WILL KNOW MORE.

Hi,I'm back again,how are you and your wife doing today?I hope both of you are feeling wonderful.I went to the doctor today,he is going to be my new family doctor.He has set up a sonogram to look at the cysts on my thyroid.It is two day test,I go one day and take a pill stay for thirty minutes to make sure ot doesn't make me sick.Then I go back the next day and have the test done.Sounds like fun doesn't it?I asked my husband if he would do it for me,but he said no.I kind of figured he would.The sonogram test is next week.I have to go on a special diet,no high salt in take,no dark green vegetables,no seafood.I love fish!I have to skip cat fish night.OH well it's o.k. I'll get over it.Do you know what a sonogram test does?I really didn't think to ask,I was nervous when I went in this morning.I feel like I have a cloud covering my brain sometimes.Does that make sense to you?If it does tell me,that way I'll know how to talk to the doctor.I have never really been able to talk to a doctor.I feel like they don't take me serious.I wish I could practice,you probably think I'm really silly.How does your wife talk to her doctor about problems with out getting embarassed?I all so feel like I'm complaining when I go to the doctor.Do you know of away I might be able to get out of it?I'm sorry for asking you for advice all the time I feel like I'm taking advantage of you.Do you see what I'm talking about.Now I can't shut up because I feel so guilty,of pestering you.I'll check back in later to check your post or if you posted.GOD TAKE CARE OF KEN AND HIS WIFE IN JESUS CHRISTS NAME I PRAY AMEN.TNT406 Becky.

WOW!!!!

ALL I CAN SAY IS ITS TIME TO SEE AN INTERNIST FOR A FAMILY DOCTOR. THE IST THING TO DO IS HAVE A TSH AND A T4 TEST ON THE THYROID. YOU WOULD BE HYPOTHYROID IF YOU CAN'T LOSE WEIGHT. IF YOU WERE HYPER, YOU WOULD BE LOSING WEIGHT. IF THE TESTS COME BACK WITH HIGH TSH- OVER 5 AND A LOW T4-LESS THAN .9, YOU HAVE HYPOTHYROID AND THE DOCTOR WILL PUT YOU ON MEDICATION TO GET YOUR THYROID BACK TO THE NORMAL RANGE. YOU HAVE MORE PROBLEMS THAN JUST THE THYROID SO MAKE SURE THE DOCTOR KNOWS EVERYTHING. THE DOCTOR WILL CHECK FOR CYSTS ON THYROID- YOU MAY NEED AN ULTRASOUND.NORMALLY, CYSTS AREN'T TOO BIG OF A DEAL. I PRAY ALL WILL TURN OUT WELL FOR YOU WITH THE HELP OF A GOOD DOCTOR..

MY WIFE IS DOING BETTER SINCE THEY PUT HER ON MEDS BUT IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET THE RIGHT DOSAGE.

Hi Kennyp Just got back from the doctor.She wants me to get settled in with a family physician.The doctor I see now is a neurologist,I've never had a real family doctor.She said that she can't treat my thyroid disorder,I thought any doctor could treat a thyroid disorder.She said I all so need a family physician because of my other health problems,I've had heart attack I all so have two valves leaking my mitral valve and my tricuspid valve.I all so have 6 centimeter blood clot on my brain.I guess you could say I'm lucky giggle.That was a joke.Could you find some info for me,I can't find any thing for cysts on the thyroid.I would truly appreciate it.May be you could give the web address,if you find some thing.Remember I think I'm hypo because I can't lose weight and I gain weight.I have even got so desperate to lose weight I just eat once a day.It hasn't worked,i'm pretty bummed out about that.I'm sorry that I keep on babbling I'm just really upset I guess because my nuerologist said she didn't know any thing about the thyroid.Sorry I'm doing it again.I'll check back in later to see if you have posted.Thanks in advance TNT406.OOps I didn't ask how you where doing I'm so sorry that was really rude of me.I hope every thing is going good for you and that you are enjoying summer Take care TNT406.

IT REALLY HELPS WHEN YOU HAVE A SUPPORTIVE SPOUSE AND IT SEEMS YOUR IS TOO SO DON'T GIVE UP.I THINK WITH YOUR SYMPTOMS, THE DOCTOR WILL WANT TO RUN SOME MORE BLOOD WORK OR OTHER TESTS TO CHECK YOUR THYROID.REMEMBER TO MAKE A LIST OF ALL YOUR SYMPTOMS AND GIVE THEM TO YOUR DOCTOR AND THAT WILL REALLY HELP.

IT SOUNDS TO ME THAT THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW IS TO CHECK WITH THE DOCTOR. YOU CAN ASK HIM TO CHECK YOUR T4  WITH A BLOOD TEST TO RULE OUT HYPOTHYROIDISM. IF THAT IS WITHIN THE NORMAL RANGE THEN YOU GO ON TO THE NEXT TEST. THERE HAS TO BE A REASON AND I PRAY IT WILL BE FOUND AND CORRECTED.
